Tips and Tricks

This is a great WHAT NOT TO DO in a #G+eduhangout:

  • Wearing headphones can help with feedback issues
  • Avoid having speakers nearby computer that is being used for the #eduhangout because could cause feedback
  • MUTE your microphone if you are not talking, especially if there is background noise
  • When you first enter the #G+eduhangout your microphone may be on MUTE by default so give that a quick look in the upper right hand corner
  • Perhaps if sharing in classroom situation with kids use paper, whiteboard, or iPad to show words in case sound is hard to hear or wifi connection is poor
  • Use Capture tool to snap pictures of #eduhangout in progress to share later in blogpost of your experience or for your class website
